Living in Mr. Friedman's Flat World

We're finishing up the testing phases for a project at work right now. The other day I would looking at a list of bugs and the names and locations of who those bugs are assigned to. Here is a list of the locations:
  1. Argentina
  2. Australia
  3. Belgium
  4. Brazil
  5. Canada
  6. China
  7. Denmark
  8. France
  9. Germany
  10. India
  11. Italy
  12. Japan
  13. Malaysia
  14. Mexico
  15. Poland
  16. Spain
  17. United Kingdom
  18. United States
Wow! I hadn't counted them before now. One of my roles on the team was to take a number of translation defects and make sure they are fixed and accounted for. That has been a big challenge for me. Finally, I was able to figure out how to switch my operating system to do Japanese input. Then, it took me until this morning to get it back to just plain old English.

Of course, Mr. Friedman is a reference to Thomas Friedman, author of The World is Flat.
